On Health, Domesticity, and Feelings. Group exhibition

“On Health, Domesticity, and Feelings” is a group exhibition that unfolds an urbanistic narrative, offering an insight into what may seem like a routine existence—exploring habits, safety, home, introversion, the significance of movement, and the rich world of feelings and thoughts that underlie it all. The exhibition romanticises the life of the Lithuanian lower economic class, a lifestyle known to many. Exhibiting artists employ its motifs to craft a tender, wistful and secure atmosphere reminiscent of home. Each artwork seamlessly drags the viewer into a distinct household, prompting to appreciate the unique individuality of each person. A profound sense of repetition permeates, suggesting a shared experience of living parallel lives under identical conditions. The various perspectives and communication styles introduced in the exhibition act as a reflective surface, resembling a mirror that presents the viewer with a potentially different and existentially more favourable interpretation of domestic life.
